Our *Boracay Meal Finale* was held at Boracay Shangri-La's Vintana Buffet and let me tell you it was a major festival of food going on. The Shangri-La Resort & Spa opened for full operation on March 2, and we paid our visit on March 7. Having only been open 5 days, the hotel got its act together quickly with a brigade of friendly, accommodating staff and rooms ready to be occupied. This 5-star internationally-recognized chain is the ultimate haven to combine leisure and luxury on the island; the other hotels are oceans away in comparison. Sun-seeking vacationers will not want to miss out on this tropical island experience. To find out more about the resort, visit http://www.shangri-la.com/en/property/boracay/boracayresort.
Onto the vast buffet selection: chilled seafood, antipastis, cheese boards, breads, salad stations, a sushi bar, and Chinese dimsum. That's just the pica-pica section, mind you. The entrees were veggie dishes, meats, fishes, and pasta - all in Asian and Western fare. The pictures below give you a good idea of the plates Jon and I took back to our table.
My favorite part: d e s s e r t. Look at the photos below and you will agree with me that they look delectable, and trust me they tasted that way too! Known for my sweet tooth, I tried every single treat at the buffet. A little nibble here and there never did nobody any harm. Jon, a bit embarrassed at my constant trips to and from the table, helped me out by also getting the sweets. See, he was too full at this point, but me... I was saving myself for the good stuff :) After all, buffet traditionally means eat all you want, as much as you want. I think we got our money's worth at Vintana; look at the food shots and it's understandable why we were both in food coma afterwards.
this looks all so great P! Loved the pictures :)
