B.I.L.S >> Raffles Grill

My parents can - at times - be creatures of habit, and when they like something... they really like it. They've been living in Singapore for 11 years, and if you ask them where they've had most of their birthday dinners and wedding anniversaries, they will give you one answer: Raffles Grill. Over the years they've developed relationships with the impeccable staff at the hotel... How do you think I get my bread and butter pudding for dessert when it's not on the menu anymore? ;) Or the complimentary champagne toasts on special occasions. I wouldn't come here with friends *ahem can't afford it yet* but when my parents invite me, I delightfully accept!

The tall french windows give light to the formal and elegant dining room. When you look above, the gold chandeliers are dangling from the ceiling and your ears can't help but listen to the soft music from the live pianist out in the lobby. The food is cooked to perfection and each dish has its own artistic flair to it, even the amuse bouche. This is a place where you don't have your eye on the clock during or between meals, the point is to enjoy the formal dining experience at Singapore's landmark hotel. It was recently my dad's birthday and we celebrated one last time - it looks like a feast but it was just mom, dad and myself :) Bon apetit!
