The Counter

If you recall the game Jon and I have about introducing one another to new places... I won this one: The Counter. We've been twice, and I know we'll go again. If you're a fan of big, tender, juicy burgers, you're going to love what The Counter has to offer.

The concept here is build-your-own-burger. Literally. Let me walk you through it. When you arrive, you are handed a clipboard and you are to step-by-step pencil out the form to create your own unique burger. You can make it as bad or as good as you like, meaning you can choose from a beef, turkey or veggie burger. It doesn't even end there, you can further go and choose whether you want a burger bowl (without the bun) or a bun. And even the bun has options! English muffin, hamburger bun or a honey wheat bun. You even choose the size of your patty: 1/3 lb, 2/3 lb, 1lb. Moving along, you get to then pick cheeses, toppings and sauces. Trust me, you really end up with your own customized burger.

If you're too lazy to make your own, they have a few signature burgers on the menu in addition to the Burger of the Month. I'm obsessed with the sweet potato fries here too... and this is coming from someone who was never fond of the sort. I used to be a big cheese fries fan - who am I kidding, I still am - but now I combine the two! Jon and I ordered a basket of cheese sweet potato fries but they were a little disappointing, too crispy for my liking. When we went before we tried the 50/50, half fries and half sweet potato. If you do The Counter right, you leave stuffed yet satisfied!

Check out what really goes on behind the counter at their website. Wait, check out my pics first :)
