Momofuku Milk Bar

Directly after dinner at Noodle Bar, we bee lined it over to Milk Bar - the dessert arm of the Momofuku empire. They sell quirky and creative desserts that are shockingly delicious.

Marisa pointed me in the direction of choosing two signature items: Crack Pie and Compost Cookie. Man, the crack pie was so sweet my teeth were already shaking before I took a bite! Next time, I ought to choose more of a chocolate-based pie. The Compost cookie surprised me, I enjoyed it. All the crave-alicious notes [chocolate, sweet, salty] are in this one cookie. We also got soft serve ice-cream. The week before, Milk Bar introduced its newest flavor combo: Red Velvet and Cream Cheese Icing. I got really excited when I knew I'd be there to try it! To our disappointment, the cream cheese icing was outta juice :( We wanted to swirl both flavors for the "real" red velvet experience... However, I thought the red velvet was good alone; I could taste the light Southern chocolate cake in soft serve form. No matter how much we ate for dinner, we still saved room for dessert!

Part of my Sunday Funday was spent at Pinkberry [Santa Monica] with a very, very old friend. Rewind back to 6th grade... Limited Too, matching outfits, notebooks, #1's, LYLAS and BFF era. It's always fun to reminisce, laugh and sometimes be embarrassed about the good 'ol days when our biggest problem was begging mom to have a double sleepover. Although the problems have changed, it's comforting to know that some people's essence and character remain the same. Te amo chica bonita! Xo

Red Mango in Manila :)

Just when I was wanting a spoonful of fro-yo, Red Mango appeared outta nowhere! I had no idea they even had Red Mango in Asia - I've only had it in LA. (But it is a Korean company, so nvm) Jon and I were at Mega Mall when we spotted the yogurt chain that serves all-natural yogurt along with fresh fruit toppings and a few cereal-y & chocolate-y numbers thrown in as well. It's fun to get creative with your yogurt once in a while! Or, you can be like Jon and just get green tea ;) Their yogurt is really creamy and tart... Goooooo try it!

*Razzle*Berry*

Looks like the fro-gurt craze isn't just in our own little LA bubble... Enter Tokyo's frozen yogurt concept *Razzle*Berry* It was hard not to miss this store-front while walking along the streets of Shibuya. The girly-baroque interior is decked out in shades of pink with a black chandelier hanging from the ceiling. On the particular day we visited, 2 flavors were available: natural yogurt and chocolate. The toppings are displayed as "gems" and the sizes come in Cute (S), Sexy (M) and Glamorous (L). The three of us girls enjoyed our treat while listening to the catchy pop tunes playing in the background. You gotta hear it: *Razzle*Berry* website

Angelina

When I say "Fro", you say "Yo!"

Declining dessert at Izakaya, we had another idea in mind that would still satisfy our sweet craving. Staying in the WeHo area, we drove up to Angelina on Santa Monica Blvd for a little cold, creamy, guilt-free frozen yogurt. Angelina has gotta be brave; they set up shop almost directly across the frozen yogurt giant, Pink Berry. They have way more flavors at Angelina (10 or so?), not just the tart natural kind. The toppings are the same usual suspects that you find in every establishment following the fro-yo trend. Testers of course are allowed, and are pretty generous here too. The nice thing is that parking is convenient; there's a lot right outside the entrance. Perfect night cap, it hit the spot.
