M Cafe, Culver City
When my mom saw my first post on M Cafe (here) she demanded I take her there on her next visit to LA. We saw a peek of sunshine last week and jumped at the chance to leave the house - looks like the rain hasn't come back since. Phew!

Eat and Go
This batch of photos must've slipped through the cracks when I was posting all my Manila photos from Decemeber/January... While Jon and I were picking up our Imax Avatar tickets in Mega Mall, we stopped for a little bite. What else is new? We had only eaten breakfast and it was that awkward 3:30pm time where our stomachs were grumbling for some food. We landed at Eat and Go, a super fast-casual eatery that specializes in English pies. Jon got the steak + potato pie with pepper rice on the side and I got the salmon + spinach pie with marinara pasta on the side. Kind of a random place for us to stop and snack, but it filled the gap sufficiently. We ate and went at Eat and Go :)

Bouchon
I finally got around to seeing for myself what all the hype was surrounding the much-anticipated Bouchon Bistro in Beverly Hills. The legendary Thomas Keller has planted his newest restaurant right next to the Montage on Canon Drive; a great location in my opinion. I'm not sure that a grand staircase is a necessary mode of entry into Bouchon, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the relaxed atmosphere upstairs. The mosaic floors were my favorite. I know I referred to the atmosphere as "relaxed", but it must be said that everything is on point at Bouchon. With the Keller stamp on the two-story restaurant, you would expect nothing but the best. This French brasserie boasts classic bistro favorites, a raw seafood bar and seasonal dishes on the menu - everything sophistically executed to perfection. Everyone in the fam agreed we would be back for more!
Enjoy the dishes... in French ;)
