Jon and I took a Saturday morning walk over to Apartment 1b for some mid-morning food... This is the first time we've ever walked to breakfast, or any meal for that matter. Salcedo makes it an easy neighborhood to walk places, I oughta do it more often!

Jon and I like to one-up each other, in a friendly way of course, to see who can find new places to try. Whoever introduces the restaurant "wins" only if we decide to go back again... Not a bad game, huh? We already have a tall list of our favorites :) Here's just one of them.

Gourmet comfort food has an address: Apartment 1B. Located in Salcedo Village, this renovated unit looks more like an apartment's extended kitchen. There is seating all over the two-story "apartment" which is donned with flat screens, flowers, magazines and quiet home decor. The relaxed setting is perfect for the neighborhood restaurant which welcomes the many residents near-by. The food looks like it could have been prepared in your own kitchen at home, which is nice. No crazy presentations or anything too fancy at Apartment 1B; just simple, casual favorites that are easy to enjoy.
